A retired shift foreman for Kaiser Aluminum and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009, in Baton Rouge. He was 85, a native of Eros and a U.S. Navy veteran. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral home on Thursday, June 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Religious service at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Tommy French. Interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Survived by his wife, Theresa McNally Holloway; daughter, Kathleen Holloway; sister, Mary Jean Canterbury, Griffin, Ga.; brother, Billy Joe Bill Holloway, Baton Rouge; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Betty Holloway; and sister, Helen Smith. He was an avid LSU fan and loved gardening and getting together with his Navy buddies from the USS Herndon DD-198.
