Winton Hymel, Sr.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Timothy 4:7 Winton W. Hymel Sr. passed away on Saturday, November 09, 2013 at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, May Dean Hymel son, Winn Hymel II and wife Lisa daughter, Lauren Ledoux and husband Randy three grandchildren, Sarah Ledoux, Tre Hymel, and Morgan Hymel siblings, Marion Hymel and wife Evelyn, Rodney Hymel and wife Billie, Evelyn Gautreaux, Barbara Bergeron, Larry Hymel and wife Delores, and Ted Hymel and wife Charlotte and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lucille Hymel four brothers, Rudy Hymel, Jerry Hymel, Lonnie Hymel, and Paul Hymel Jr. and two brothersinlaw, Aubrey Bergeron and Clinton Gautreaux. Winton received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from USL and became an Associate LSU fan and enjoyed cooking. He was the head usher at St. Patrick Catholic Church for the Saturday afternoon mass. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian burial at 11 am. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
