Winifred Dennis

Winifred Dennis, 76, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Oakbend Hospital, Richmond, Texas, following a brief illness. Survived by his son, Darrell Dennis daughters, Alicia Banks and Tracy Dennis and grandchildren, Janelle Banks, Amber Dennis, Aubrey Banks, Lauren Dennis, Asia Banks and Malcolm Gipson. Born and reared in Center, Texas, he was the son of Robert Dennis and Marie Land Daniels. He attended Butler College where he studied education. He served his country in the Air Force and after an extensive career in food service, he retired from Southern University. He lived his remaining years in the Houston metropolitan area. Viewing will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, Baton Rouge, on Saturday, April 23, from 11a.m. to 1p.m., followed by funeral services at 1p.m. The burial will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
