Wilna Richmond

A retired comptroller with Baton Rouge Country Club, she died at 10:25 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2008, at Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing. She was 82, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Slaughter. Graveside memorial service at Redwood Baptist Church Cemetery, La. 412, Slaughter, on Sunday, May 4, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Dennis Sartin. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Claire and Blakely Parent, Baton Rouge, and Charlotte and Michael Harelson, St. Gabriel; 10 grandchildren, Blakely II and wife Christa, Henry and Zachary Parent, Kristen R. Barrett and husband Daniel, Jessica Elaine Ramsey, Jacob Harelson, Emily Smiley and husband Andy, Alec, Rachel and Julie Harelson; three great-grandchildren, Eve Parent, Taylor C. and Lydia Smiley; two brothers, Dewalt Son Lockwood, Greensburg, and Harvey Lockwood, Slaughter; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Florence Lockwood; and sisters, Irma Fulkerson and Elaine Wilkinson. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Baton Rouge, the American Cancer Society or the Baton Rouge Food Bank.
