Wilda Ruth Ledbetter Snoddy, at 95 years of age, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on January 18, 2017.
Wilda Ruth, known as Frosty by her family, and GG by her grands and great grands! Frosty was born in Scranton, Texas and graduated from high school there. She was a member of the USO during WWII in Dallas, Texas and a true "Rosie the Riveter". She was always a leader in women's groups, volunteering to be the lead or the chairman helping women become more successful with their families and their careers. Ruth was a prolific quilter, and member of the Pelican Guild. Her ministry was to the military soldiers and their families designing and creating, then donating over 500 cards per year to soldiers overseas and in VA hospitals.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Rankin (Jack) Snoddy.
She is survived by her son, Richard Snoddy, 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She will be buried in the Scranton, Texas cemetery next to her husband Jack. Her memorial service will be held at that time. No memorial service will be held in Baton Rouge.
