William Ruffin (Billy) Beale, Jr. was born on June 20, 1945 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and he passed peacefully from this life on January 18, 2021.
He graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1963, and he attended LSU. He served in the United States Army and did a tour in Vietnam from 1966-1967. Upon his honorable discharge he married his wife of 53 years, Karen Sue Bostick Beale, and together they raised their three children here in Baton Rouge. He worked at Exxon Refinery for 33 years, retiring in 2000.
He was a loving, caring, and devoted, son, husband, dad, and Pawpaw, who always put his family first. He loved fishing, and he was a die hard LSU football fan. He loved his family and he loved his Tigers!
He was preceded in death by his mother Hattie Rae Aby Beale and father William Ruffin Beale, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Karen Beale, son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Dawn Beale, daughter and son-in-law Kim and Jack Mitchell, daughter Ronda Beale, sister Carroll Beale Soper, and a nephew Dan Dampier. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Jordy and Jacky Mitchell, Brandon, Thomas, Jonathan, and Daniel Beale.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons Brandon, Thomas, Jonathan, and Daniel Beale, and Bailey Templet. Honorary pallbearers will be his son-in-law Jack and his nephew Dan.
Visitation will be in the chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, January 23, from 12 p.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Interment immediately following in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
