William Ryan, Sr.

A resident of Baton Rouge, he died peacefully at 3:28 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 72 and a native of Auburn, N.Y. Graveside service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Wednesday, June 4, at 11 a.m. He is survived by three daughters, Patti Ryan, Woodridge, Ill., Tammy Ryan, Trenton, Ohio, and Shari Ramsey and husband Raymond, Baton Rouge; two sons, Michael Ryan, Trenton, and William Ryan Jr. and wife Vickie, Geismar; a sister, Helen Toia; five brothers, Louis Jr., John, Bernard, Michael and Patrick Ryan; and two grandchildren, Austin and Cory Ryan. Preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Helen Ryan; wife, Doris Ryan; four brothers, Kevin, Joseph, Paul and David Ryan; and two sisters, Shelia Staring and Joan Cheche. All is over, his suffering has ended, and our dear Father is at rest.
