Dale loved life and sharing laughs with friends. He could not wait to spend his every free minute at his camp on the Tickfaw River, boating and relaxing with friends. Dale loved to watch the sunset on the river, but mostly he loved to be the first to see the moon rise and claim it for himself. Born in New Orleans on January 26, 1951 and raised in Baton Rouge, New Orleans always held a special place in his heart. He graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1969, and attended LSU. Dale then went to work for a local radio station for a number of years. Dale left radio to work the rest of his years in the family business, McGowanRigby Supply. Dale leaves behind the love of his life for many years, Kathey Jarreau a brother, Charles Andrew Rigby a nephew, Kenneth Andrew Rigby and his wife, Brandy a niece, Eden Grace Rigby his little dog and cocaptain on the boat, Buddy numerous aunts and uncles, Beverly Langlois Larry and Lynda Dunn and Johnny and Shirley OConner, all of Baton Rouge as well as numerous friends, above all his special friends, Larry and Terry Hebert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lancaster Rigby Jr. and Carolyn Dunn Rigby grandparents, Charles Lancaster Rigby Sr. and Monette Taylor Rigby uncles, Dewey Langlois and John A. Cabibi and an aunt, Mattie Rigby Cabibi. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 5pm until 9pm. Visiting will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 9am until service at 10am, conducted by Rev. Jason Allen. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory
