William Paul

Bill joined our heavenly father on Saturday December 28, 2013. He was 79 years old. He attended La Salle Academy in Providence, Rhode Island and in 1956 earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. He went on to serve most of his career in the US Army Reserves where he retired as Lieutenant Colonel in command of the 483rd engineering battalion in New Bedford, Massachusetts. In his Civil Service capacity Bill worked full time for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Center for 28 years retiring as Head of the Technical Contracts Support Division in Davisville, R.I. He spent most of his married life in Bristol, R.I. with wife Helen Dexter Paul raising four sons Brian, David, Donald, William Paul. He had five grand children David wife Kate Paul Jennae Paul of Bristol, R.I, and Sadie Paul Fianc Jeff Loyd , Carissa Shanna Paul of Baton Rouge Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Louise Paul, siblings Jeannette Leo Paul, son Donald Paul. Bill will be deeply missed for his tremendously kind, selfless everoptimistic spirit. Visiting will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Highway 73, Prairieville, LA 70769, on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from 9: 30 am until Maas of Resurrection at 10:30 am conducted by Father Eric Gayan.
