A retired personnel administrator with Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, he died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson. He was 81, a resident of Baton Rouge, native of Plaquemine, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, Sept. 15, from 8 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Brent Duplessis. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Garland G. and Brenda F. Grass; and two grandsons, Jereme and Nicholas Grass. Preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Grass; son, William G. Grass Jr.; and seven brothers and sisters.
