Bill Foster

Bill Foster passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the age of 78.  He was born October 17, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri to Donald Foster and Mary Mulligan Foster. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served in the Vietnam War.

Bill received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri and went on to have a successful career as a Regional Underwriting Specialist. He retired from Shelter Insurance after 30 years. In his spare time, he loved to read, and listen to music. Bill was also a big fan of vintage cars, LSU football and the Kansas City Chiefs.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 30 years, Mimi Camille Foster; and his brother, Robert “Bob” Foster. Bill is survived by his daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Foster and husband, Justin Hensel; his son, Vincent Robert Foster; his sister, Donna Smithmier; and his grandson, Caden William Foster.

The family invites friends and extended family to a graveside committal service on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Gerald Miletello and all of the nurses and medical staff at Baton Rouge General Hospital
