A retired Exxon employee with more than 40 years of service, he died at 6:34 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was born Nov. 22, 1917, in Clinton, and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II, having served in the North Atlantic. Private graveside service will be held Thursday, Jan. 21. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 31. He is survived by two daughters, Pamela McCauley and Billie Cauley soninlaw, Jack H. Cauley four grandchildren, Fritz Keppler, Michael McCauley, Mark McCauley and Molly McCauley and greatgranddaughter, Emma Keppler. Preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Floyd soninlaw, George McCauley and two brothers, Robert and Albert Floyd. He died peacefully after a long life of caring for his beautiful plants and giving of himself to anyone in need. He was an avid fan of the LSU Tigers, the Saints and Colts. He was truly loved and admired by all who met him. A special thanks to Lynn Smith and the staff of Life Source Hospice.
