April 28, 1984, the day William “Bradley” Jenkins was born, he was so loved. Born to parents, Liz and Bill Jenkins in Baton Rouge – Bradley was always a force! He loved big and played hard. His fierceness showed on the gridiron as a full back #26 – in high school at Bishop Sullivan. His love shined through his two nephews, Griffin Paul and Collin Bradley. He loved those two boys more than anything else.
Preceded in death by his father, Bill Jenkins; his grandfathers, Doug Jenkins and Joe Boudreau; and his uncle Joey Boudreau. He has left a multitude of family and friends across cities and states; including his mother, Liz Jenkins; sister, Jessica Jenkins Gulino; grandmothers, Carol Boudreau and Ida Mae Jenkins; aunts and uncles, Lynn and Todd Gautreau, Dicky and Connie Boudreau, Lisa and Ronny Pike, and Teri Boudreau; cousins, Jason Fontenot and his daughter Blakely, Zack Gautreau, Blaine and Tyler Boudreau, Jordan and Tim Losavio and their children Summit and Knox, Julia and John Fawcett, London Boudreau, Caroline Pike, Savannah Fisher, and Colton Pike.
He had so much love to give and left behind so much – an entire lifetime of memories not yet had. Bradley played his cards close to his vest always. Those that knew him best knew that he was vulnerable, kind, and caring. Bradley was always cracking a joke, never allowing a dull moment. So, in honor of my brother Bradley – the one that threw up on the 50-yard line on TV on the Cox “Game of the Week” in high school – say the inappropriate joke at dinner, ok? Give your nephew ice cream for breakfast. Play your music too loud with the windows down. Tell your people you love them.
A funeral service honoring Bradley’s life will take place at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Blvd in Baton Rouge at 1pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Visitation will precede the funeral service starting at 12pm.
