William Bloom

Temp Bloom passed away in Baton Rouge, Thursday, February 20, 2020 at age 36.

Temp is survived by his mother, Brenda Bloom and closest friends: Mark, Janel and Mia Willis, Luke Collins, Greg Duhon, Karl Krousel and Randy Fals. He loved and was loved by his “ adopted family”, the Holladays.

Temp was preceded in death by his father, Philip Bloom, grandparents, August and Dorothy Bloom, Uncle Brian Bloom, and Aunt Barbara Jeskin.

Temp will always be remembered as the most loyal, kind, and caring friend anyone can ask for. He had the habit of putting everyone before himself, being selfless and giving.

He was intelligent, inquisitive and sensitive. He had a keen interest in politics and world culture.

He attended SLU, BRCC, and LSU majoring in economics and political science. He attended ATP in Jacksonville, FL where he received his commercial pilots license.

He was a flight instructor at US Aviation Academy in Denton, TX and at Baton Flight Instruction. He was a pilot for Baton Rouge Air Charter and for Florida’s Governor.

His loving and quirky nature attracted people to him from all walks of life. He was never afraid to be himself and took dress recommendations from no one, always wearing a pastel polo and khaki shorts that ended 4” above the knee.

Temp always managed to make people smile, and had a way of making you feel important. When a friend was in trouble, he was the first to be there. Temp never lost touch with his closest friends, keeping them close to his side until the end.

Temp, you will be missed until we meet again.

In lieu of flowers, Temp’s family asks donations be made to charity of your choice.

The Bloom family and friends wish to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Baton Rouge General ICU, who gave the utmost respect and quality care in Temp’s time of need.
