Wesley Alvin Denham beloved Husband, Dad and PaPaw completed his 100 year life’s journey on October 23rd, 2021, at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge.
He was born to Samuel Quitman Denham and Essie Heard Denham.
He is survived by daughters, Cynthia “Cyndi” Efferson of Grapevine, TX. and Vickie Corcoran (Bill) of Baton Rouge, grandchildren; Kerri Rushing (Ronnie) of Plano, TX., Stephanie Sortino (Anthony) of Allen, Tx., Garen Grashot (Melanie) of Madison, Al., Kristen Reeves-Frantz (Jeff) of Baton Rouge, Melissa Rayne Stanton (Steve) of Paso Robles, Ca., Lillian “Lily” Sawyer (James) of Perkinston, Ms., Samuel “Sam” Callaway of Thousand Oaks, Ca, and many great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Arthur and wife of sixty years, Betty Jean Posey Denham and youngest daughter, Sheri Susanne “Susie” Denham.
Wesley was a Navy veteran and proudly served his country in WWII. He loved to entertain us with his many stories of the war. Wesley was a member of Milford Masonic Lodge #117 and wore his masonic ring until the day he died. He was also a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Our sincere thanks to the staff of The Crossing at Clarity Hospice for the excellent care given to our Dad. We will forever be grateful.
Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 1:30 PM until services at 2:30 PM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
