Wendy Carol Guion

Wendy Carol Guion passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the age of 62. She was a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi and a resident of Rayne, Louisiana. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Donelson Guion and Carol Lagg Guion; sisters, Judith Dianne Guion and Lisa Brooks Guion; aunt, Marjorie Cates Montgomery; uncle, Emil Arthur Lagg; and cousin, Tom Logue. 

Wendy is survived by her aunts, Cathy Coe Lagg and Nancy Guion Hammersla; and her cousins, Toni Dickerson, Michelle Banks, Frances Chisolm, Bryan Lagg, Barry Lagg, and Scott Hammersla; along with a host of extended family.

The family would like to give special thanks to Ms. Gilda, the Arc of Acadiana, and the Electa Street Group Home for the care, compassion, and support they provided to Wendy.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, starting at 12:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. The graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Schuman, Jimmy Boudreaux, Mark Odum, Seth Odum, Alan Lagrone, and Anthony Lagrone. Honorary pallbearers are J.R. Dickerson, Landon Lagg, Nicholas Lagg, Charles Chisolm, Judah Lagg, Elijah Lagg, Noah Lagg and Ezra Lagg.
