Warren Gerald Tabor, age 80, a native of Amelia, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017. Warren was born in New Orleans LA on June 10, 1937 to Allen and Lessie Tabor. He was the oldest of nine children.
Warren was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother to many. He always had a joke to tell and he was a devoted LSU Tiger Fan.
He served as a deacon at Park Forest Baptist Church and Jefferson Baptist Church.
He served in the Air Force as a member of the 4238th Armament and Electronics Maintenance Squad.
He was the owner and Founder of Fabricated Steel Products.
He married Francis Briggs in 1959 and had 2 children, Karen and Kevin Tabor.
Warren is survived by his children, Karen and Kevin Tabor (Staci Knobloch Tabor). His grandchildren, Allison Tabor Glaser (Colby Glaser), Blake Tabor (Tamara Arceneaux Tabor). His 4 great-grandchildren, Rosemary Glaser, John Glaser, Briggs Tabor, and Kelly Tabor. Brother and Sisters, Patsy Fryou, Catherine Roberts, Susan Leach, Joe Tabor, Jimmy Tabor, David Tabor, and Ricky Tabor.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Francis Briggs Tabor; his parents, Allen and Lessie Tabor; and sister, Francis Hilderbrand.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday October 29, 2017 from 3pm-6pm and Monday October 30, 2017 from 12 until services at 1pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
