Wanda Anne Felder Sanderson

Wanda Anne Felder Sanderson, age 78, who was a native and lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at her home on January 25, 2015, with her family by her side.

On January 31, 1936, a beautiful baby girl was born to Grady and Laura Felder. They could not have known at the time that their precious child would grow to become a talented, caring and loving daughter, wife, and mother to her family and a dear friend to countless people whose lives she has touched in a positive manner. Wanda attended Baton Rouge High School one year before moving to and graduating from Istrouma High School in 1954. She attended Northwestern State University where she met her devoted husband of 59 years. She was a genuine people person. Wanda was the happiest when she was among her family and friends. For many years before her debilitating illness, Wanda was a proud and active member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. She especially enjoyed her Worship as a member of the Liturgical Dance Quoir.

Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy R. Sanderson and her son, Kevin R. Sanderson and girlfriend, Ellen Yu of Martinez, CA.

She is preceded in death by her son, Kyle Ray Sanderson; parents, Grady, Sr and Laura Felder; and brother, Grady R. Felder, Jr.

The family would like to thank Regina Madison and Yolanda Thierry for all the loving care they provided for Wanda.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Broadmoor Methodist Church, 10230 Mollylea Dr., from 11:00AM until 1:00PM.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at 1:00PM at Broadmoor Methodist Church, officiant will be Reverend Ken Carroll.

Interment will take place at Green Oaks cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 10230 Mollylea Dr. Baton Rouge, LA.
