Wanda Lanier

Native of Nortonville, KY and resident of Baton Rouge, LA Kay passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the age of 82 after a long illness. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Robert Lanier daughter, Tamara Wallace sons, Michael Woodward, and Barry Lanier sisters, June Alexander, and Geneva Rodgers 14 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elbetrice and Gertrude Key and brothers, Durwood and Garland Key. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 9 am until religious services at 11 am conducted by Rev. Sandy Sherman. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers are TJ Stokes, Duane Wallace, Kyle Lofton, Kevin Lofton, Jessie Garcia, and Joshua Potter. Kay attended high school in Nortonville, KY and her hobbies consisted of knitting, music, reading, and golf. She was a member of the Gideon Auxiliary. Her activities included Nursing Home Ministry, Church OrganistPianist, Church Secretary, and Church Librarian. Kay will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
