Walter Mathis

Walter Joseph Mathis, age 81, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA., passed away on April 2, 2019.

He attended St. Alphonsus Catholic Church

Walter is survived by his daughters, Rhonda and husband Bill Hartwell and Tracy Mathis, grandchildren, Ashley and husband Mike, Brian and wife Kelli Hartwell, Dylan and wife Jessica Hartwell, Jenny and Alana Olinde, and Joey Taylor; great grandchildren, Cassidy, Declan, Brooklyn, Rhlynn, Aiden, Grayson, Max, Isabella, Lexi, Kyleigh, Harley, Emma and sister, Nanette Conroy.

He is preceded in death by wife, Connie Mathis; son, Darren Mathis and grandson, Eric Mathis.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 12:00 pm until services at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
