Vivian Copponex Moreau
On Saturday, April 11, 2015, our Lord Jesus Christ took Vivian Copponex Moreau, a loving mother and grandmother, to her heavenly home at the age of 88.
Vivian was born and raised in Lutcher, LA and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Vivian was a graduate of Lutcher High School and Baton Rouge Business College. She worked for Coca Cola Bottling Co. and LSU in Baton Rouge, but devoted most of her life to her family. Vivian's happiest days were spent with her children and grandchildren. She was very involved in her children's activities, including volunteering as both Cub Scout and Brownie leader, room mother to her children's school classes, and constant helper at St. Aloysius Catholic School. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. Vivian was currently a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was previously a longtime member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church where she also served as a member of the Altar Society.
Vivian is survived by her son, James Edward Moreau; daughter, Claire Marie Moreau; son, Thomas George Moreau; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Gerard Moreau and Hope Phillips Moreau; grandson, Austin Joseph Moreau; granddaughter, Alicia Claire Moreau; sister, Jeanne Copponex Lorio; and several generations of nieces and nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, George Michel Copponex and Theresa M. Poche of Lutcher, LA; former husband, Harry James Moreau; sister, Norma Copponex Reulet; and brothers, Ulrich, George, Maurice, and Ralph Copponex.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA, at a private time.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at a private time, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
