Virginia Gleason

Virginia “Jenny” Gleason, age 73, who was a resident of Greenwell Springs, LA, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, due to complications with diabetes and kidney failure.

Jenny was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born in Mohall, North Dakota. Graduated from Mohall High School in 1965. Jenny earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from LSU in Home Economics.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and working on crafts. She was an active member of Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Shelly Gleason and Greta Gleason Bordelon and husband Reggie; granddaughter, Jena Bordelon; sisters, Jeanette Foley and Jackie Nissen and husband Dave; brother George Paris and wife Connie; and best friends, Kathy Joiner and Bonnie Russell.

She is preceded in death by her husband whom she dearly loved Charlie Gleason; her parents, George and Marietta Paris; and brother Bobby Paris.

Due to Covid restrictions, visiting and funeral services will be held for family and close friends.

Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at which time the funeral service will immediately follow.

All will take place in the chapel of Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway.
