Virginia Prestigiacomo Dyess passed away on July 24, 2015 at the age of 84. Virginia was a native of Independence and a resident of Denham Springs.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Clinton Troy Dyess; sons, Michael (Mary Ann) and Darryl (Wanda); daughters, Toni (Jim Greer) and Penny; sisters, Josie (Doc Hearn) and Madeline (Frank Ancona). Grandmother of Christopher (Jackie), Scott (Amanda), Jason (Jamie), April (George), Jeremy (Mariam), Ashley (Houston), Danielle, Jonathan (Paige), Kayleigh (Chris), Hayden and Kyle. She was blessed with 23 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by father John Prestigiacomo, mother Concetta Lacuira Prestigiacomo, a baby daughter and brothers, Johnny and Gasper (Tootsie).
She was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church. Virginia was an independent contractor for The Advocate newspaper since 1966. She was an avid bowler with an average between 180 - 200. She will always be remembered by those whose lives she touched with her kindness and vivacious personality.
Memorial Service will take place at the Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until Memorial Service time. Interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
