Virginia Booker

Virginia Rose "Ginny" Jones Booker, age 95, a native of Cleburne, TX and a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on April 7, 2018.

She was a Parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, an avid LSU Tiger fan, she loved to play bridge and read.

She is survived by her children, Robert A. Booker, Jr. and wife Cathy, Charles P. Booker, Sr. and wife Carolyn, Penelope B. Ernst and husband Terry, and Carolyn L. Booker; brother, Ted D. Jones and wife Barbara; grandchildren, Cynthia Galloway and husband Michael, Barkley S. Booker, Traci E. Broussard and husband Brad, Anthony B. Booker and wife Ann, Robin E. Abboud, Jeremy T. Booker and wife Nibal, Samuel S. Ernst and wife Jessica; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Booker, Sr.; father, Charles O. Jones; mother, Corrie D. Jones; sister, Jacqueline J. Southern; grandson, Charles P. Booker, Jr.; and great grandson, Jack Cole Staples.

Visitation will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave, Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 9:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.

Pallbearers will be Brad Broussard, Anthony Booker, Jeremy Booker, Samuel Ernst, Caleb Broussard, Ethan Broussard, Connor Abboud, and Seth Broussard.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, 220 St. Vincent de Paul Place, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 and Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, 550 Lobdell Ave, Baton Rouge, 70806.

Special thanks to Home Instead Senior Care, Our Lady of the Lake Hospital staff, Hospice of Baton Rouge staff, and Ollie Steele Burden Manor staff for their special care of our mama.
