Virgie Stephens

Virgie Lee Stephens, age 87, native of Brookhaven, MS, and resident of Centreville, MS, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015.

Virgie is survived by her daughters, Eva Monroe and husband Joe, Ivy Walters and husband Frank, Lula Sanford and husband Otto; sons, James T. Lambert and wife Patricia, Octave Lambert, Jr. and Michael Anthony Lambert; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lela May Centineo and Geneva Hansen; and her brother, Versie Watson and wife Diane.

Virgie is preceded in death by her first husband of 42 years, James O. Lambert, Sr.; second husband, Ollie Stephens; parents, John and Georgie Watson; granddaughter, LeAnne Lambert; brothers, Albert, David, and J.T. Watson; and sister, Mary Carney.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

Funeral Services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at 11:00 AM.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
