Violetta Verbois

Violetta Verbois "Vi", age 85, a resident of Baker, LA, passed away on January 6, 2016.

She loved to travel with her husband in their camper. Violetta was also a member of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church and retired from the East Baton Rouge parish finance office after 15 years of service. She also enjoyed meeting monthly with her Chicken Foot club.

Violetta is survived by her two sons, Alex Austin Verbois and wife, Gail, and James A. Verbois and wife, Valeria; her six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alex Verbois; and her parents, Harry and Bertha Chisholm.

Visiting hours will be observed on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Monday, January 11, 2016, from 11:00 AM until the time of services.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016, at 1:00 PM.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
