Vincent (Vince) Stadolnik, affectionately known as “Papa” went home to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, at the age of 80. Vince was born on December 8, 1943, to Adolph and Marcella Stadolnik and raised in New Haven, Connecticut.
As a devout Catholic, Vince was an altar server and attended Notre Dame High School Class of 1961. He attended the University of Connecticut and received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. While at UCONN, Vince went on a blind date, set up by a friend, with a young woman named Pat. They later married and spent 59 wonderful years together.
Vince was a hard-working man, dedicated to his family. He worked his entire career at Uniroyal Chemical Company, where he ultimately became Factory Manager at Uniroyal’s facility in Geismar, Louisiana, Regional Director, LA Operations for Crompton Corporation and Chairman of the Board of the Louisiana Chemical Association. In 2004, Vince and Pat retired to Gulf Shores, Alabama, to live out the next 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and traveling with Pat and close friends. Vince had a big personality; he was the loud and animated life of the party whom everyone loved to be around. He was a kind-hearted and respected provider, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, manager, mentor, and friend. Vince shaped the lives of many, and they will always appreciate the caring and knowledgeable guidance he provided.
Vince is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Dzwonchyk Stadolnik; daughters, Karin (Roger) Simmons, and Laura Heinrich; son, Dave (Becky) Stadolnik; sister Janice (Roland) Patry; grandchildren, Claire and Morgan Simmons, Justin and Ashley Heinrich, Joshua (Micki) and David Sather; great-grandchildren, Gemma and Freya Sather.
Dad, we will miss you beyond words. You asked us to keep perspective on the happier side of life. “What a Wonderful World” it is. Rest in peace; your life was well lived.
The family would like to give special thanks to the medical staff at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Alabama, for their kind and loving care of Vince. In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made in Vince’s name to Tunnels 2 Towers, Alzheimer’s Association, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choosing.
