Vincent William Bellelo passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at the age of 83. He was a native of Maringouin, La and a resident of Greenwell Springs. Vincent served in the United States Army. Retired from Crown Zellerback (Tembec) after 35 years of service as a machinist. He loved gatherings with family and friends, enjoyed tinkering and mechanic work, and also cooking for his family.
He is survived by his two daughters and spouses; Sonya B. Clement (Huey) and Vanessa B. Shaffer (Charles), a son and spouse; Bryan K. Bellelo (Janet), grandchildren and spouses; Lacee’ Shaffer Sweezy (Beaugh), Marlana Shaffer Firmin (Pete), Heather Clement Altazan (Dillon), Wade Montgomery (Emily), great-grandchildren; Charlie Sweezy, Layna Sweezy, Annie Firmin, and Amelia Firmin, sister Mary Bellelo Boudreaux and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pourciau Bellelo, his parents Carlo and Bonnie Bellelo and his brother Carl Bellelo.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the Doctors and staff at Ochsner Medical Center of Baton Rouge for your outstanding service.
Pallbearers will be; Beaugh Sweezy, Pete Firmin, Dillon Altazan, Jason Pourciau, Ben Jones, Jay LeBlanc, Wade Montgomery, honorary pallbearers will be; Charlie Sweezy, and Jacob LeBlanc.
Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will resume at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
