Vernon Micklin

Vernon W. Mickey Micklin, native of Minneapolis, MN and a recent resident of Baton Rouge, LA after moving from Adelanto, CA, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the age of 80.
Mickey loved running, biking, and keeping up with the stock market. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lola Micklin children, Ronald Matthew Micklin and wife Debra, Laura Anne Hattaway and husband Bruce, Loren Edwin Micklin and wife Llona, and Adelle Cecille Magnuson and husband John 15 grandchildren, Justin, Benjamin, Audrey, Sherisse, Brandy, Bruce, Briana, Brittany, Garrett, Reed, Christopher, Claire, Alexandra, Matthew, and Nicholas 19 greatgrandchildren one sister, Rita three brothers, Timothy, Allen, and Leonard one uncle and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Shirley Schanfield Micklin and siblings, Marleen, Harvey, Lois and Ivan.
Visitation will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 11:00 am until funeral services at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
