Vernice Wright

Vernice (Vern) C. Wright, age 85, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on August 31, 2018.

Vernice is survived by his wife Sandra S. Wright; children, Robin Louise Wright Thurman, Candace Elaine Wright, Michael Calvin Wright, Robert V. Byles, Jr., Rebecca K. Brown and Raymond Gale Byles; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Vernice served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1964. He was a CPA and entrepreneur and was great at everything he touched! He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Baton Rouge, LA.

He was loved and respected by everyone that knew him. He was a wonderful husband, father and step-father, friend and colleague. His wisdom and advice inspired many. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Tompkins and V.L. Wright of Many, LA

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 12:00 pm until services at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
