Vera Mayeux

Vera G. Mayeux, age 93, native of New Roads, LA, and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015. She was a volunteer at the Catholic Life Center for the Diocese of Baton Rouge for 20 years.

Vera is survived by her sons, Ray Mayeux and wife Carol, Michael Mayeux, and David Mayeux and wife Judy; grandchildren, Crystal, Ragen, Robyn, and Allyson; and seven great-grandchildren.

Vera is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Mayeux, Sr.; son, Joey Mayeux; and parents, George and Bertha Gremillion.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Monday, September 28, 2015, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Funeral Services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at 12:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Ray Mayeux, Michael Mayeux, David Mayeux, Ragen Mayeux, Kevin Tingle, and Steve Wurst.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

The family would like to thank St. James Place Nursing Home and Notre Dame Hospice for their compassion and care.
