Valrie Val Barousse passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet due to complications after a brief and unexpected illness. Val was a native of Baton Rouge and attended Istrouma High School and LSU. He was a beloved husband, father, Paw-Paw, brother, son and friend. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Farrow Barousse; three sons, Jeff Barousse and his wife, Kim, Brad Barousse and his wife, Heidi, and Morgan Allan; mother, Georgia Pud Barousse; sister, Margaret Drumond and her husband, Maury; brother, Henry Barousse and his wife, Karen; special cousin, Jane Culpepper and husband Jimmy; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Ann Farrow; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Luis and Kimberly Crespo and John and Vanessa Farrow; as well as numerous aunts and cousins. Val adored his five grandchildren, Brittany Kay Edwards, Brittany Barousse, Bailey Barousse, Ryan Barousse and Ainsley Barousse; and all his nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Valrie Edgar Barousse. Memorial visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, July 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial visitation resumes at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Friday until memorial service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ralph Howe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9956 or a charity of choice.
