The next place that I go will be as peaceful and familiar as a sleepy summer Sunday and a sweet, untroubled mind. Warren Hanson. Trudy Leah MiMi Janney Gremillion passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at age 62. She leaves behind the loves of her life, her four grandchildren, Gabriel Gremillion, William Fontenot, Dylan Gremillion, and Jack Gremillion a daughter and soninlaw, Suzette and Chance Fontenot two sons and daughtersinlaw, Paul and Kathryn Gremillion, and Scott Gremillion and Theresa Wasiloski two brothers and sistersinlaw, William and Alisa Janney, and Clifford and Mae Janney and former husband, Reginald M. Gremillion Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Janney and mother and stepfather, Margaret and Joseph Smither. Trudy was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and LSU with a masters degree in education. She was a former assistant principal and teacher at Runnels School, a former teacher at McKinley and Glasgow middle schools. She was also former president of the Celebration Group at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, where she also taught Sunday school. Trudy was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend who lived by loving and putting others before herself. Now at peace, she is daddys little girl again. We will miss her with all our hearts. Memorial visitation at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Friday, Jan. 20, from 6 p.m. until memorial service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to: Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Broadmoor United Methodist Church, or Hospice Compassus.
