Trudi Ann Schriber peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the age of 60 years. Trudi was born on May 11, 1963, as the youngest of four girls to Albert and Jacqueline “Jackie” Braud Schriber. She graduated from Belaire High School in 1981, where she actively participated in the flag brigade. Trudi attended Louisiana State University, was a member of Chi Omega sorority, and received her bachelor’s degree in 1985. Her dedication to her career was evident by her twenty-eight years as an employee of the LSU Alumni Association. She was a longtime member of The Chapel on the Campus, where she served as a youth group volunteer leader for many years.
Trudi was a kind, joyful, loyal, and loving sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. She was a steady and constant presence in the lives of her eight nieces and nephews, who she treated like her own children. Trudi was known as the “fun aunt,” and she enjoyed traveling, cooking, watching LSU football, doing Jazzercise with the Breakfast Bunch, and spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved dog, Napa. Trudi was beloved by so many.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Trudi is survived by her sisters: Tonni (Stephen) McCollister, Terri (Richard) Simpson, and Traci (Brian) May; her nieces and nephews: Daniel (Paige) Simpson, Meggie (Caleb) Harlan, Lauren (Arthur) Ewing, Chris (Kalyn Graphia - fiancé) May, Sara (Max) Miller, Katie (Lionel Turuani - fiancé) McCollister, Joshua Simpson, and Emily (Davy) Goldsmith; her eight great-nieces and great-nephews; and her Red Labrador, Napa.
