Triem Tran

Triem Van Tran a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born on March 2, 1943, in Quang Tri, Vietnam.

Triem served during the Vietnam War helping the United States Military. After coming to the US, he worked as a teachers aide. He loves gardening and spending time with love ones which are what keep him up and running everyday. He especially likes to grow flowers and various fruit trees and bonding time with grandchildren and kids. He was also active in Hội Cựu Tù Nhân Chính Trị VietNam in Baton Rouge (Vietnamese Veterans who fought alongside American in VietNam War). 

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than forty years, Tao Thi Hoang.

Triem is survived by his daughters, Kim Ngân Thi Tran, and Kim Ngoc Thi Tran and spouse Vy Long Nguyen; his sons, Hiêń Vǎn Tran, Hiền Vǎn Tran (Ian) and spouse Kieu Minh Nguyen, and Huan Van Tran; his grandchildren, Tien Anh Pham, Gianna Aivy Tran, Ellie Ainhi Tran, Triet Kai Dien Nguyen, Alyna Khánh An Nguyen; his brother, Triet Van Tran; his niece, Xuan Truc Thi Hoang and spouse, Bien Long Nguyen and their children, Kaden Duy Nguyen and Liam Minh Tri Nguyen.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, a Hội cựu Tù Nhân Chính Trị VietNam Flag Ceremony will be held from 5:00-5:30pm, with visitation to follow until 8:00pm. Services will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until graveside services at 11:00 a.m.
