Tracie McLin Caston, 53, passed away Wednesday morning, October 11, 2017, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends after battling leukemia for four months. Tracie loved life and lived it to the fullest. She brought great joy to those who were blessed to have known her. She was passionate about many things in life. You could find her in her garden, with fresh dirt under her nails, or in her kitchen sharing giggles with her Grandchildren while baking their favorite treats. Her home was a treasure chest of adventure and always full of love.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Kenneth D. Caston; her father, Emmitt Anthony "Mac" McLin; her mother-in-law, Nettie Caston; her sister and brother-in-law, Ronda and Kevin Williams; her brother, Michael McLin; her children, Heather Caston Landry, Schuyler Tingle, SSG Cory Caston and wife Lindsey, and Regan Tingle; her godchildren, Kelsey Williams Martinez and husband Justin, and Kayley Williams; her grandchildren, Natalie Landry, Bryce Landry, Sophia Caston; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and close friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Cecelia Pauline "Nookie" McLin; her father-in-law, Kenneth Caston; and her granddaughter, Olivia Grace Caston.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her joyful life will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 20, 2017 with Visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center to join in the efforts to find a cure for cancer.

Tracie's family would like to thank Dr. Vince Cataldo and the Oncology Staff with Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and Mary Bird Perkins for their dedicated services to fight cancer.

"I come to the Garden Alone
While the Dew is still on the Roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses,
And He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am his own. And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever know."
