A retired Sears Roebuck salesman with 30 years of service and resident of Central, he died at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at his beloved cabin in Smithdale, Miss. He was 66, a native of Magee, Miss., and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Visiting at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, corner of Greenwell Springs Road and Frenchtown Road, Friday, Nov. 26, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at the church Saturday, Nov. 27, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Moroney. Burial with military honors in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jackie Walker two daughters and sonsinlaw, Melissa and Will Perkins, and Karen and Ryan Fuselier a son and daughterinlaw, Peter and LeighAnn Walker a sister, Bonnie Patterson two brothers and a sisterinlaw, Cecil and Carol Walker, and Joe Walker three grandchildren, Braden Lee Walker, Cale Matthew Walker and Aiden James Perkins expected grandchild, Olivia Claire Walker special friends, Collins Wroten and Herman Middleton and his dog, Rascal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey E. and Ruby G. Walker. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
