On Saturday, December 12, 2020 Tommy Wayne Gentiles arrived home safely in the arms of the Lord at the age of 85. Tommy was a retiree of BASF and a former Marine for the United States Marine Corp. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outside any chance he could.
Tommy was blessed to spend 54 years of his life with his loving wife, Olivia Gentiles. The two were married on March 18, 1966. He is survived by his son, Randy Gentiles and wife, Patti Gentiles, his daughter, Tami Nipper and husband, Jay Nipper, and his son, Bo Gentiles and wife, Becky Gentiles; granddaughters, Amy Dowdy, Amanda Wray, Brooke Gentiles, and great-grandchildren, Asher Cangelosi, Demi Moreau, and Easton Hayes.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anthony Gentiles, brother, Jack Gentiles, sister, Eva Wells, son, Danny Gentiles, and great-granddaughter, Olivia Jo Palmer.
Pallbearers will be Danny Morgan, Billy Stokes, Eddie Hilbert, Chevis Ball, Rushing Lemoine, and John Courtney.
Services will be Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Visitation will begin at 12 pm with graveside burial services beginning at 2 pm in the Resthaven Gardens of Memory led by Jesse White. The family wishes to sincerely thank all for their kind words, condolences, and prayers during this difficult time.
