Tommie Tanner

My beloved, husband and soul mate is now with the Lorda truly devoted husband, brother and friend. He was born July 26, 1948 in Lucedale, Mississippi and died August 9th, 2012 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his father Walter Tanner, his mother Ona Lee Tanner, two brothers Earl and Caylor Tanner, his sister Myrtle Stringer, a brotherinLaw Don Griffin, his motherinlaw Delia Fleming, and father inlaw Jack Fleming. He was a retired Chemical Engineer employed by Rubicon, Geismar, Louisiana. He also worked in Real Estate with the Dowden Group. He graduated from Moss Point High School and the University of Mississippi Ole Miss. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife Annie Tanner, three sisters Sharon Jones and husband Bob Jones, Doris Griffin, and Myra and husband A.C. Thomas, two brothers Hennon Hollinghead and wife Dorothy, Kenny Hollinghead and wife Earlene, two brotherinlaws, Nickey Fleming and wife Linda, Johnny Fleming, his sisterin law Lois Tanner and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved so dearly. Pall Bearers will be Nickey Fleming, Brian Fleming, James Baker, Joey Griffin, Butch Griffin, Bob Jones, and Honorary Pall Bearer Johnny Fleming. Services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Visitation for friends is at 11:00 AM until the service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 11th, 2012.
