Titus "Lloyd" Lloyd Crasto Jr.
Lloyd Crasto passed away June 18, 2016.
Lloyd graduated from Louisiana State University in 1973 with a degree in chemical engineering. He began working for Ethyl Corporation in 1973. Throughout his 40 year career he held numerous positions throughout the United States and Europe in Research and Development and Manufacturing. He retired from Albemarle Corporation (formerly Ethyl Corp.) in 2013 as Vice President in Manufacturing.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 45 years, Constance (Connie) Richard Crasto. He is also survived by his two sons and a daughter and six grandchildren, all of Baton Rouge: Christopher Scott Crasto, his wife, Jessica Selle Crasto, and their children Anna Elise and Adele Madeline; Jennifer Leigh Crasto George, her husband Jeffrey Alan George, and their children Gibson Lee and Grace Marie; and Kevin Michael Crasto, his children Gabrielle Elizabeth and Kevin Michael Jr.; and a former daughter-in-law Renee Chabert Crasto. He is also survived by his mother Faye DeBlanc Rains, sisters, Nannette Cheri Angona and her husband Van; Denise Cheri Robelot, and her husband Al (Robey), and Jolie Cheri Bernhard, and her husband David; one brother, Paul Robert Cheri, and his wife Gail of Oklahoma. Lloyd is also survived by his mother-in-law Carolyn Richard, and 2 sisters-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law, Renee and Stan Stolzenthaler, Rick Richard, and Randy and Debbie Richard; nieces and nephews: Stanford and Anna Stolzenthaler, Kyle and Caitlin Stolzenthaler, Drs. Paul and Viktoria Richard, Dr. Mark and Katie Richard, Michelle and Stephen Simons, Reed Robelot, and Lyle Robelot.
He is preceded in death by his father Titus Lloyd Crasto, Sr., brothers Henri and Edmond Cheri Jr. and stepfather Edmond Cheri, Sr., grandparents Leah and Henry DeBlanc, father-in-law Percy S. Richard, Jr., and aunt and uncle Dorothy and Murphy Boudreaux, grandmother-in-law Adele Landry and uncle John Stanley Landry, Jr.
A special thank you to Dr. Gerald Miletello and all of his staff, especially Camille, Dr. Alton Oliver Sartor (Tulane), his researchers Patrick and Charlotte. Lloyd had many extra wonderful years thanks to all of their efforts.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Dr. from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
