Timothy A. Wilkes

Timothy Allan Wilkes, born on March 26, 1946, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on September 4, 2024, at 78 years old. 

A proud veteran, Timothy served honorably in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, Timothy graduated from Louisiana State University in the class of 1972. Then going on to build a successful career at Jacobs Engineering, where he contributed significantly to various projects and earned the respect of his colleagues and peers.

In his personal life, Timothy enjoyed various hobbies, including riding motorcycles, biking, walking, running, camping, and playing guitar. His love for the outdoors and music was a significant part of who he was, and he shared these passions with those around him.

Timothy is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Furlong Wilkes; his son, Brian Allan Wilkes, and his wife, Doreen Wilkes; stepdaughter, Laura Lampin; brother, Angus Duncan Wilkes, his wife, Sheridan Rembert Wilkes and their children Lindsay, Matthew, and Keith Wilkes; and grandchildren, Delaney Hutson Wilkes and Reegan Marie Wilkes. 

He was predeceased by his father, Hollie Alonzo Wilkes; his mother, Excellona Hutson Wilkes; and his daughter, Kendra Wilkes Hein. 

Visitation for Timothy A. Wilkes will take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
