Tim Smith, Sr.

Mansel Timothy Smith, Sr., age 87, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, born on October 27, 1933, passed away on March 28, 2021.

He served in the United States Air Force as a firefighter. He also retired from the State of Louisiana after a long career working at the Greater Port of Baton Rouge.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bobbie Bueche Smith; children, Mansel Timothy Smith, Jr., Brett Smith and wife, Wanda; Niki Wade and husband, Timothy; and grandchildren, Steve Glockner, Jr., Aubrey Thompson, Jessica Smith, Jennifer Payton Smith, Timothy Wade, Taylor Wade, and Payne Smith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lillie Smith.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics, or to a charity of your choice.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from 8:30 AM until 10:30AM, with services at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Chenal Cemetery in Lakeland, Louisiana.
