Died at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at his residence in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on February 9, 1920, however, claimed Mission, Texas, as home. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jill Trolinger Bushart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Susan Trolinger Whitfield of Winter Park, Florida a sister, Reba Bremer of Enid, Oklahoma five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His parents, his wife, Jeanette Rucker Trolinger, a sister, Jeanne Jones, and a brother, E.R. Fry preceded him in death.He attended Edinburg Junior College and the University of Oklahoma. He was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1945. While serving in England with the 8th Air Force as a 1st Lt Bombardier, he was shot down and spent one year as a P.O.W. by the Germans at Stalag Luft III at Sagan, Germany, in Western Poland. He was a member of the 8th Air Force Historical Society and a member of the Red Stick Chapters of Ex P.O.W.s. A private memorial service for family will be held at home at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. Resthaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
