Our father was a quiet and gentle man who lovingly cared for us and our mother. One of his passions was spending time on Toledo Bend Lake fishing with his son Bobby. He gained another son when his daughter Nancy married Chris Rials. Megan, his only grandchild, was the delight of his life and their bond was a very special one. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mary Maggie Foreman Thompson of Lake Charles, his son Robert Joseph Thompson of Lake Charles, his daughter Nancy Thompson Rials and husband Chris Rials of Baton Rouge, and his beloved granddaughter Megan Joy Rials of Baton Rouge. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Anthony Thompson and Buena V. Hill Thompson and stepmother Estelle Thompson. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of choice.
