A native of Birmingham, Ala. and a resident of Baton Rouge, La., he died at 6:05 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Hospice of Baton Rouge. He was 72, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a retired Industrial Construction Superintendent. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Friday, July 13, 2012 from noon until services in the chapel at 2 p.m. conducted by Dr. Jere Melilli. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survivors include his wife, Betty Pitre Holstein daughter, Kimberly Paige Holstein 2 sons and daughtersinlaw, Thomas G. Dugan III and Myra Holstein, and Patrick L. and Lauren Holstein 1 sister, Peggy Williams and husband Harry 1 brother, Jerry Holstein and wife Sue and 3 grandchildren, Bailey, Carter and Austin Holstein. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas G. and Mary L. Holstein sister, Claire Cookie Gaddy and brother, Robert Holstein. He was a member of Christian Life Fellowship.
