Thomas Hinton

Thomas Britt "Redd" Hinton passed away peacefully, Monday, August 15, 2016, at his residence in Watson, LA.

He was born July 8,1964, in Baton Rouge and attended Tara High School where he was a star safety for the football team. He attended LSU and Southeastern Universities and was a 20-year resident of Watson, LA.

He is survived by his wife, Lori T. Hinton, and four children, Taylor Britt Hinton, Shelby Ann Hinton, Jake A. Krousel, all of Watson, and Karl E. Krousel of Charlotte, NC, his wife, Jessica, and two grandchildren, Landon and Soryn Krousel. He is also survived by his parents, Charles E. Hinton and Lynda Rainwater Hinton, a sister, Kelli H. Lombardo of Round Rock, TX, her husband Joe, and three nieces, Sadie, Anna and Bella Lombardo, an aunt, Becky Davis and his mother-in-law, Yvonne B. Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy and Eumelta Rainwater, James and Louise Hinton, an uncle, Jimmy Hinton, his father-in-law, Richard E. Thompson and sister-in-law, Vicki L. Thompson.

He was most recently employed by Seacor, in Port Allen, LA, and was the owner/operator of Redd's Truck and Tractor for many years.

Britt was foremost a loving and affectionate husband and father as well as a fierce and loyal friend. Many have expressed that their relationship with him made them a better person. He was an avid LSU football and baseball fan, loved spending time in the woods with family and friends. His favorite pastime was playing pool with his buddies after work. He was a world class prankster and always loved a good joke. Britt was loved by all who knew him and will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be held at Riverside Baptist Church, 36890 LA Highway 16, Watson, LA, on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 1:00 PM until memorial service at 2:00 PM.
