"But they who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31
Thomas Burton Greer passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on November 3, 2017. Tommy, the first-born son of Paul Elijah and Claudia Netterville Greer, was born November 23,1922 in Glenmora, LA. After Daisy's death in 1986, he married Velma Ellis in 1989. They shared 19 years serving their church, working with Baton Rouge Music Chorus, cooking and spending time with their family.
Tommy is survived by his daughters, Cindy Greer Barrow (Ronald), and Tomi Greer Morton (Paul), and stepdaughter, Donna King (B.J.), five grandchildren: Lauren Barrow Carballo (Felix), Rachel Barrow Enlow (Jason), Jeff Morton (Jane), Betsy Morton, Emily Morton Melancon (Marcus), eight great grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
