Thomas Bourgeois, Jr., 72, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Thomas was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, an extremely talented woodworker and an excellent gardener. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was an avid LSU baseball and football fan. Thomas graduated from LSU, where he received a Bachelors in Science for Mechanical Engineering. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Judy Talazac Bourgeois daughter, Becky Calegan and husband Gerald son, Scott Bourgeois and wife Monika daughter, Michelle Tichota and husband Robert two grandchildren, Katie and Lauren Calegan numerous nieces and nephews sistersinlaw, Anita T. Brechtel and Cindy Bourgeois and motherinlaw, Elaine Talazac. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas, Sr. and Marguerite Tonnelier Bourgeois brother, George T. Bourgeois infant sister, Terry Bourgeois fatherinlaw, Edmond Talazac, Sr. and brotherinlaw, Edmond Talazac, Jr. Visiting will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 11 am until funeral service at 2 pm, conducted by Father Jerry Martin.
