Thiet Nguyen

On July 24, Thiet received his angel wings after a brave struggle with cancer.

Thiet was born on September 8, 1969, in South Vietnam. He came to the US in 1975, just prior to the communist takeover. He adapted to his new "home", having to learn a new language and new customs. He graduated from Belaire High School in 1988 and began a career in the construction business. He had an unparalleled work ethic which led him to establish his business, Premier Painting and Home Repair, in 1997.

Thiet married his high school sweetheart, Mary Larkell "Lark" Bailey. He proudly became an American citizen after many years in this country. He was well respected by his family, friends and his clients. He was loved by many and will surely be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Thiet is survived by his wife, Mary (Lark) Nguyen, his daughter Jordan and his son Ty Nguyen, his beloved brother "Mo" Vo, his brothers Pete and Thanh Nguyen, his sister Nghia Nguyen, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Visitation is Wednesday, July 27 at Resthaven from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 with service immediately following at Resthaven.
