Teri Perry-Copponex

Teri Ann Perry-Copponex entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 55. She is preceded in death by her brother and grandparents. Teri is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Bart Copponex, and her 2 children, the greatest joys of her life, Caroline and Cameron.  She is also survived by her mother Mae Perry, sister MIssy Perry (Clint Copponex) and brother Rusty Perry, in-laws Keith and Teri Copponex, Charmagne and Paul Sagona, Sherri Kleinpeter, Greg and Elaine Copponex, and many niece and nephews.

Teri was a longtime teacher/librarian in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, most recently at Bernard Terrace Elementary.

Teri was an avid reader and the perfect day for her was spent at home relaxing in the hammock with a good book.  She was passionate with sharing her love of books with everyone around her.

For Teri, her family and her faith were everything.  She attended The Chapel in the Oaks.  Her home was the go to place for countless gatherings for family and friends. Teri was dearly loved by all who knew her.  She will be deeply missed but we are comforted knowing that she is with her Savior in heaven.

Arrangements Resthaven Funeral Home 11817 Jefferson Highway on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 2:30  p.m., Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Services will be conducted by Reverend Rick Wright.

Pallbearers are Lee Kleinpeter, Ben Sagona, Cody Coponnex, Christian Copponex, Greg Lawrence, and Mark Shumake.  Honorary pallbearers are Sam Barnes, Joey Michael, and Laurent VandePutte.
